How I Work
I specialise in SEO.
I only do SEO (search engine optimisation) – but I have a good understanding of other areas of digital marketing, such as PPC (pay per click) advertising, social media marketing, CRO (conversion rate optimisation), UX (user experience), and more.
This means that I can see and understand the wider picture, and can advise beyond just SEO if needed.
The types of SEO projects I typically take on.
I usually only take on certain types of SEO projects, which you can see below. However, I’m more than happy to have a chat about any project – so feel free to get in touch, even if your project is different to what’s listed below…
WordPress
The vast majority of SEO projects I’ve worked on have been WordPress websites. I’ve even made some WordPress websites of my own!
B2B
I mostly work with B2B (business-to-business) companies – meaning that I don’t often work on B2C/ecommerce websites.
UK-based
I typically only work with UK-based businesses (or international companies that also have a presence or office in the UK).
While I cover all areas of SEO, being a freelancer means I can be flexible and can work based on your exact needs.
The whole SEO gamut
I can help with SEO from start to finish. From deciding strategy and keyword research, through to implementation and ongoing help and support.
But I’m not just a consultant who tells you what to do but leaves you to do the fiddly part… My approach is “hands-on” and I can do 90%+ of all the implementation myself.
Ongoing or one-off work
Most of my projects are long-term (some clients have been with me for 5+ years)!
But I can also do one-off work, if that’s all you require.
Just need help with keyword research, for example? That’s fine! I can do that.
30-day rolling contract
Beyond the initial three-month starting period, I offer a 30-day rolling contract.
This means you’re not locked into a long-term contract should your circumstances change.
What to expect when we work together
Obviously every industry, business, website and project is different (and I approach and treat every project as bespoke), but for a lot of the businesses I work with, we usually follow a process for the first few months of work…
The Beginning
Initial Scope & Month 1
We can meet IRL, have a call or jump on Zoom to discuss how I can help you. Then, if you’re happy to move forward, the first month of work is usually dedicated to keyword research and understanding your business, your industry and your target market.
Main Implementation
Months 2 & 3
Following on from the keyword research, I can get stuck into the main implementation: making on-site tweaks (both on-page and technical in nature) and providing guidance on off-site SEO (a.k.a. inbound link building) and other areas of SEO.
Continued Support
Month 4 onwards
But the fun doesn’t end there! Ideally, SEO should be an ongoing activity (after all, something like inbound link building can be an endless activity!). I can continue to work with you, offering ad hoc support and finding more SEO opportunities to explore.
